A Mirror is the name given to an object that reflects light while preserving the original details of the light, thus creating a mirror image.
Mirrors can be powerful, magical tools to those with the knowledge and power to use them. Mirrors can serve as portals between worlds and can be used to observe others and communicate with them. They can also be used to foresee the future.

- It should be noted that mirrors have been used to reflect magical powers. Notable examples include:
- Prudence Halliwell used a hand mirror to reflect Javna's optical energy beam.
- Cole Turner once threw an energy ball at a mirror and it flew back at him.
- Gideon had a magic mirror that allowed him to see and communicate with the parallel universe. This mirror was destroyed by Leo Wyatt.
